To avoid visa applicant refusal for lack of information, CEI indicated some mistakes which applicants often have
- No good academic performance: GPA of the past 3 years are almost under average or there is past study interruption in either domestic or foreign school without good excuses.
- No obvious study plan: applicants fail to show their study plan or major and courses. As the result, the visa officer may be suspicious of their aim for studying in Canada.
-

- Lack of evidences of finance: most of applicant's families are well-prepared for finance needed for their children's study, however, they can not show evidences of their real income or own properties to ensure financial support for their children's study. For those who have their own businesses, they often don't have enough contracts, commercial bills or records to balance with their actual income, more tax receipts can not reflect the real income of the business.
- Inconvincible of coming back Vietnam after graduation: it depends on many factors such as major, finance ability, properties and no proof for persuadable prospect of coming back after graduate.
- Not declare blood relatives in Canada: applicants often hide their blood relatives in Canada for fear of failure of visa application. This is a reason for the visa officer to refuse applicants because of their dishonesty. Applicant should learn that whether having blood relatives in Canada doesn't affect visa application result. This must be declared, even they are not the guardian or finacial sponsor.
- Not declare all blood relatives in Canada: The applicants who do not state relatives because of losing contact for a long time or for any other reasons, may be turned down due to their dishonesty.
- Income of relatives cannot afford to sponsor students is also a reason for refusal.
- Dishonest applicants: there will be refusal for applicants who are found declaring untruth or hiding any information such as refusal of previous visa application at any types of themselves or of their family members including parents, brothers and sisters.
- Not well-informed of procedure of visa application: this is an important mistake to proceed application. Before making preparation or application, applicants are expected to consult with CEI or prestigious study abroad agents to complete the process.
